Twelve months in the life of a town where a werewolf is on the loose.  A nice short read that seems similar and yet different from Stephen King’s other works.  Maybe it is because the brevity, maybe it is because Stephen King says he’s not a big fan of werewolves, but whatever the reason this is a story that borders on the absurdly comical.  Each month tells the story of a different person, with the exception of July and December, which focus on a young boy named Marty, the only to face the werewolf and survive.

I like the twist ending which betrays a sort of cynicism about religion. The preacher, who is the werewolf, betrays a sort of vanity and conceit that does not tally well with a religious person.

A nice, short, fun story about monsters.
